Seeking a Position as a Lacrosse Assistant or Head Coach
by Will Callegari
(Charleston, SC, USA)
Coaching vs. Rheinhardt
This upcoming May 2011, I will be graduating from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina and looking for a coaching position at either the High School or Collegiate level. I am willing to take on any role be it an Assistant Coach, Head Coach, Graduate Assistant, and possibly even a Volunteer Coach.
While at The Citadel, I have served as a Team Captain from 2007-Present, the club Vice-President, the club President, and currently the Defensive Coordinator. I have also served as a volunteer High School Coach at Strake Jesuit College Prep in Houston, TX and a Volunteer Youth Coach for the Daniel Island Recreational League in Charleston, SC.
When I took over as a captain in 2007, The Citadel Lacrosse Program had only eleven players, and was extremely unorganized. However, over the past three years we have grown from a group of guys tossing around to an organized program of almost forty. We now participate in everything from off-season workouts, daily practices, team meetings, volunteer community service, to large fund-raising events. Needless to say, I know what type of work and dedication is required to help a program grow; and more importantly, I am willing to do everything in my power to accomplish this.
I am proficient in Microsoft Applications as well as the basic knowledge pertaining to website management and creation.
Although my soon to be Bachelor's Degree is in History with a minor in International and Military Affairs, I can teach not only History but English and Political Science as well. I would also be willing to serve in other coaching areas as needed by your school or institution.
I would prefer a full-time position, I would be willing to work with your organization if I can secure (with help from the team) a regular job in the area.
Location is not that big of an issue. If offered a full-time position, I would be willing to live almost anywhere if estrangements could be made.
If interested, I would be more than willing to send you a copy of my Resume and List of Referrals. For serious positions, I would also be willing to travel to you in order to conduct a face to face interview. I can be reached by email at Callegariw1@gmail.com or by telephone at 281-813-1530. Thanks a bunch for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
