Your Lacrosse warm up routine is an extremely important part of your good overall injury prevention and player preperation. Properly warming up will go a long way in preventing all types of player inuries.
No matter the activity warming up ahead of time helps to raise a players body temperature. As muscles get warm they loosten up which gives them greaty elasticity allowing for a greater range of movement and less chance of strain. Raising the overall body temperature also helps to increase both blood and oxygen flow which prepares the athlete for more rigorous activity. Make sure that your warm up is structured to start slow and steadily increase both heart rate and cardiovascular effort.
